SPRINGFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College will honor veterans at its 26th annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11. The ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons on the 69·çÁ÷-Springfield campus, 5250 Shepherd Road, and a reception will follow. The public is invited to attend.
The program includes Ken Elmore, 69·çÁ÷ Board of Trustees Chair, serving as master of ceremonies; Darian Hayes, 69·çÁ÷ truck driver training student and Private First Class, U.S. Army Reserve, providing remarks; and 69·çÁ÷ music student Jack Barham singing the national anthem.
The Veterans Day Ceremony is sponsored by 69·çÁ÷ Student Life and honors all veterans including 69·çÁ÷ faculty, staff and students who served in the armed forces.
