69�� dedicates newly installed outdoor sculptures donated by Terry Travis, M.D.

“Paradigm Shift” is a 22-foot-tall sculpture by Bruce Chaban, first exhibited at Chicago’s Navy Pier. “Immigrant," sculpted of steel and concrete, was created by Mike Baur, and “Take Five” is a steel and wood sculpture by Pat McDonald. All now grace the lawn in front of Menard Hall on the 69�� campus.

69��-Medical District is now offering evening, general education courses leading to an associate degree, in addition to short-term training programs. Attendees at the open house can learn more and sign up for courses beginning this spring.

The Saluki Step Ahead program offers students the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, criminology and criminal justice, health care management, psychology and radiologic sciences by spending the first two years at 69�� completing pre-determined coursework.

The Illinois Community College Board recently released a study showing the economic impact of the state’s community colleges at $3.5 billion and 43,316 jobs in 2020.

Lincoln Land Community College is offering workshops and completion events in October to assist students and families in filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to obtain financial aid to attend college.

Registration is now open for classes in solar photovoltaics and solar site assessor training offered by the Workforce Institute at Lincoln Land Community College. The classes involve online coursework followed by an in-person, on-campus lab in December.
